MOCK PROJECTS
I’m still always learning! Through coursework at Boston University, I’ve created mock advertising campaigns, coded websites, and redesigned logos. Check out some of my mock projects!
WEBSITE
One of my 2025 goals was to up my coding skills. I called on a close friend of mine to show me the ropes of HTML/CSS, and was able to code a responsive website for my Media Expression and Communications course. The website needed to include details about my chosen fashion client, LaDuca shoes, and information regarding a hypothetical giveaway the brand could host.
I first designed the site in Figma, then launched VS Code and implemented Figma Code CSS styling (which I edited to make sure everything was aligned!) and learned the ropes of HTML. The experience really was like learning a new language; there were hiccups and moments I found myself feeling “stuck” without the right words (or divs, in this case), but once I cracked the code (pun unintended), it was incredibly gratifying. I’m walking away from this challenge with a lot of hard skills that I’m excited to take into my work! This video walks you through the website: click here for the live site (live through November 2026!).
Key takeaways:
HTML and CSS formatting and styling
Design decision making and brand identity design
MOCK AD CAMPAIGN DECK
For Intro to Advertising, I was tasked with collaborating with a team of five other students to create an end-to-end campaign targeting college students for the brand ZipFizz. Together, we decided to hone in on senior student athletes getting ready to transition into an active post-grad lifestyle.
My role in the group included completing an extensive competitive analysis for ZipFizz, creating an influencer strategy (an addition to the project’s scope that I felt passionately about!), ideating the three creative approaches and writing their copy.
LOGO DESIGN
I just love show business! But more so, I love Broadway Cares. So when I was tasked with creating or redesigning the brand identity for a cause I care about in my Design Strategy and Software Course, working on Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS was a no-brainer.
Through this project, I conducted a competitive analysis to understand the visual identity for Broadway Cares and its competitors, established guiding principles for the brand, created a color and typographical style guide, and, of course, redesigned the logo. My final deck outlines the entire design process.
Key takeaways:
Confidence in Adobe Illustrator and Figma
Understanding of design process, competitive analysis, and visual identity for brands
